QUEEN’S PARK – Doug Ford made two claims Thursday that are wrong.
Claim one: Ontario leads Canada for vaccine distribution
Ontario is in seventh place when it comes to per capita provincial vaccine distribution, according to all vaccine trackers, including those from CTV, the Globe and Mail and the National Post.
Claim two: He “isn’t too sure” where the NDP learned Ford’s Chief of Staff, James Wallace, is coordinating Ontario’s pandemic response
A lawyer working for Ford’s hand-picked Long-Term Care Commission stated, on March 1: “the leadership of the pandemic response was led by the Cabinet Secretary and the Premier's Chief of Staff who didn't have public health experience.”
Ontarians deserve a premier focused on responding to the pandemic, not spin.
